Do You Still Have To Report to Both Programs?
April 3, 2017

This post is exclusively for dual-eligible hospitals and CAHs that have been reporting to BOTH the Medicare and Medicaid EHR Incentive programs. As you may have heard, in 2017 the EH meaningful use requirements differ between the Medicare and Medicaid EHR Incentive programs, adding to the complexity of monitoring and reporting.
It is possible that you may no longer need to report to the Medicaid program if you have successfully reported to and received incentive payments for all the years available based on your state’s requirements.
You will still need to report to the Medicare EHR Incentive program to avoid negative payment adjustments.
Check directly with your state Medicaid MU program representative to confirm if you no longer need to submit to their program.
If you have any questions, or run into issues with any of the meaningful use objectives and would like help please use the “Leave a Reply” section below, or email Patty Kosednar directly with your questions or comments.
